x402 opens JWK, Bazaar, and settlement-integrity issues
The repository added open work on optional JWK headers in signed receipts (#2696) and its documentation PR (#3519). Other active issues include Bazaar indexing after mainnet settlement (#3284), unconstrained `amount` values (#3510), and GET metadata incorrectly mirroring request bodies (#3511). Proof-of-done work (#3379), response provenance (#3304), facilitator discovery (#2979), and Nano exact-scheme documentation (#3512) also remain open.
Bazaar lists 15628 resources, compared with 15842 yesterday. Agent Tools lists 12897 services and 7921 healthy services, versus 12639 and 7918 yesterday. Its Nano entries are 9 for `nano:mainnet` and 2 for `nano`. The x402 list remains at 782 services and 5127 endpoints across 35 networks.
Listed rail pricing is unchanged in shape: average price is $0.394, median is $0.01, minimum is $0, and maximum is $50. Average response time improved to 624 ms from 648 ms, while 24-hour average uptime moved to 83.8% from 84.5%.
Opinion
The ecosystem is adding discovery and payment rails faster than it is standardizing what gets verified and indexed. JWK-backed receipts, response provenance, numeric amount constraints, and Bazaar indexing are not peripheral details; they are prerequisites for agents to pay for results they can reliably identify and audit. The 90.6% share held by the top 10 services makes this reliability gap more urgent, because concentration magnifies failures in the most-used endpoints.
